Horsepower Logic was formed in the latter part of 2007 to operate as the Dyno and Tuning operation of a local shop in Riviera Beach, FL. This was done to address a growing need for tuning services for a diverse clientele, marketing the ability to handle all makes of cars, domestics as well as imports.

At the beginning of 2009, It became its own separate entity. With the goal to be in a more desirable and convenient location for our customers, the operations were moved to our current facility located in Royal Palm Beach / Wellington area where our AWD Mustang Dyno and showroom are located.

Team

Jack Cecil: The tuner for Japtrix / Horsepower Logic from 2007 to 2009 being responsible for the majority of the tunes done during this period at the facility. Trained and certified on almost all EMS platforms such as HKS, Cobb, Osiris, E-Manage, Diablo Sport, HP Tuners, and many others for both domestic and import vehicles.

As a certified Airframe & Powerplant mechanic as well as holding ASE qualifications, a firm emphasis on technical and physics theory has been a crucial part of his tuning style allowing for the most precise manipulation of all forms of tuning from carburetors to EFI. If it can be made faster, he will find a way.

Gus Martinez: Aeronautical Engineer by profession, car enthusiast by passion. He was the owner of one of the first 350Z’s in South Florida and current president of the South Florida Z Car Club. Helped with or performed many of the firsts at Japtrix involving the 350Z including the first Twin Turbo install, first VQ35DE engine build and first HKS Fcon tune. In addition to building his own engine and tuning the car, also tuned it early on with the E-Manage and attended Unichip tuner training.

Roger Acham: Was an investor and half owner of Japtrix in Riviera Beach from 2004 to 2009. In addition to financial responsibilities he was greatly responsible for its growth and expansion in South Florida. Also owned many of the shop’s cars including an EVO, STI, RX-8, and 350Z becoming an early member of the South Florida Z Car Club and South Florida Subys. With this also came increased exposure at the drag strip and road courses in the area.
